Terms & Conditions OF HIRE

RABBIT WASTE MANAGEMENT ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE CLAIMS ARISING FROM VEHICLES

DELIVERING/COLLECTING OFF THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY.

PLEASE NOTE: When delivering or collecting off the public highway, it is possible that damage can occur to your driveway, the road surface or the adjoining property. If you ask us to proceed off the public highway, it must be clearly understood that it is at your request and your responsibility. Rabbit Waste Management cannot be held liable for any bedding down, settling or cracking, pollution, contamination, deposit of dust or debris, rust or oxidation, damage due to change in climatic or atmospheric conditions or changes in water table levels.

SKIPS ON PUBLIC LAND: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide lights and cones. Lights to be positioned on the containers and lit during the hours of darkness and cones to divert the flow of traffic. Any call-out by the authorities will be charged.

LOADS: The customer shall not:
1. Move any container from the site or position to which it was delivered.
2. Overload a container. Containers are only to be filled to the capacity. If the driver considers the load unsafe, we will be unable to move the container.
3. Set fire to its contents. Fires are not permitted in the containers and any damage caused by burning will be chargeable.
4. Rabbit Waste Management reserves the right to make additional charges for incorrectly described waste.

DROP DOORS: If your skip is fitted with a drop door ensure the retaining bolts are fully in place when the door is in the closed position.

UNACCEPTABLE WASTE: It is important to note that there are strict rules regarding items that cannot go in our skips. If any prohibited materials or items are placed in our skips, we reserve the right to delay collection until they are removed. This may result in additional charges.

Do not put any of the following items in our skips:
• Animal By-Products
• Asbestos
• Batteries
• Clinical Waste – e.g. bags and sharps boxes
• Dusty Wastes – e.g. powders and sawdust
• Fluorescent Tubes
• Food Waste
• Fridges and Freezers
• Gas bottles and cylinders
• Hazardous Wastes – full or empty containers
• Liquids – any
• Pyrotechnics – e.g. fireworks and marine flares
• Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) – e.g. TVs and microwaves

CHARGEABLE WASTE: The following items can be taken at an additional cost – please contact us or add at checkout online when placing your skip order:
• Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) – e.g. mattresses, sofas, sofa-beds, armchairs, beanbags, cushions
• Plasterboard
• Tyres

LENGTH OF HIRE: Unless agreed at the time of order, normal length of hire is two weeks. When you have finished with the skip, please either book a collection online or contact our office on 01903 762020 to arrange collection or any further services. Once your skip has been booked for collection, we will do our best to collect this at the earliest opportunity. Collection days are not guaranteed and are subject to access and operational issues.

Waste collected under this transfer note will be deposited at Rabbit Waste Management’s Waste Transfer Station in Lancing.
